Admission Process in United Kingdom
One needs to have a different IELTS score for different types of courses and degrees. Most universities require candidates to have an IELTS score of 6.5 or more. Below we have mentioned the IELTS score for a different level of programs.
Bachelor’s degree
For getting admission to an undergraduate program, you need to score an IELTS band of 6.5 or more. However, if you wish to study at a top UK university then you need an IELTS band score of 7.0 or more.
Pre-Masters
This course is basically designed for those who wish to improve their language and communication skills before going for a master’s course. For getting admission to a pre-masters program, you need to have an IELTS band score of 5.0 or more.
Master’s degree
A masters in the UK can be of 12-24 months duration. You need to complete a bachelor’s degree for securing admission to a master’s program. The minimum IELTS score requirement for a master’s course is 6.0 or more. However, for top universities, one needs to have and score of 6.5 or more.
